Job Description
As a Chalet Chef with Crystal you will be an important part of the overseas properties team ensuring that our customers
receive a fantastic ski holiday experience.
As a chalet chef you will be responsible for the smooth running of the kitchen and providing excellent quality food
presented at the highest standard for up to 40 hungry guests.
This will include breakfast, afternoon tea and a 3 course evening meal within an allocated budget. You will also be
required to maintain hygiene standards and practices within the kitchen and assist with housekeeping duties throughout
the chalet.
You will need to be self motivated with excellent organisational, communication and inter-personal skills and the ability
to work within a team. You will not need to attend a cookery course prior to starting your role with us; however, this
would be highly beneficial to your application and could also help you out once you're overseas.
Requirements
Essential
NVQ Level 1 & 2.
Previous experience as a chef.
Basic or Intermediate Food Hygiene.
Excellent interpersonal skills with an enthusiastic and positive manner.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work unsupervised and in a team.
Experience of working in an office environment.
Excellent all round team player.
Strong Attention to detail.
Desirable
Previous experience of working in a ski resort.
Passion or interest in skiing.
Staff training and development experience.
Second language in French, German or Italian.
