Our client, a medium sized Property Management firm, is currently seeking an experienced Service Charge Accountant to head up its prestigious Accounting team. The role: reporting to the FD and Managing Director you will be required to fulfil the following duties: managing the accounts for a residential property portfolio; preparing year end service charge accounts; overseeing the credit control processes; providing the FD with various reports; handling all client and tenant queries and ensuring any problems are dealt with effectively; assisting with improving efficiencies of both systems and procedures; ensuring deadlines are met and the Finance team is managed and motivated; additionally the role will be responsible for enhancing the companies procedures manual. The person: to apply, you must possess recent property accounting experience and particularly solid service charge experience; the ability, to manage and run a property accounting team is essential as well as the ability monitor and motivate staff members; strong communication skills both oral and written is also a must as you will be required to liaise with individuals at all levels; a professional accounting qualification will also be desirable; experience of a property management system such as QUBE, APB, TRAMPS, YARDI or HORIZON will be highly advantageous.
