Cognos Datawarehouse Administrator
Enterprise Systems (Service Delivery) Team

We are now looking to recruit an experienced and dynamic Cognos Datawarehouse Analyst/Administrator to join this
expanding Organisation. The successful candidate will be given the opportunity to undertake a diverse and critical role
that will interface with all areas of the Organisation and BI team, as part of a dynamic Systems Administration team

The Cognos Datawarehouse Administrator will take immediate responsibility for improving the delivery of data to the
Cognos system through improvement of processes and procedures including ETL. They will also be responsible for
maintenance of an existing schedule of ETL, Cube builds, Transformer tasks, and lengthy Job Chains. This is a real
challenge as it will involve multiple technology interfaces and 50+ data sources including SAP, SQL Server and EPOS
systems.

Long term aim is to take a lead role in reducing latency in data source to delivery framework.

Skills and Experience

- Cognos Administration
- ETL using Cognos Data Manager
- Exposure to the Cognos BI suite - Cognos Data Manager v8.4, Framework Manager, Transformer, Cognos Connection and
Studiosv8.3)
- SQL DBA Skills
- MSOLAP/Analysis Services/DTSX skills
- SQL Server Problem solving, performance mgmt & diagnosis

Beneficial Skills

- Exposure to multiple ERP platforms and/or Netezza Data-Warehouse platforms
- MS Development Skills
- Datamodelling/Architecture
- SQL DBA Skills
- MSOLAP/Analysis Services/DTSX skills
