Cisco ScanSafe is the market leader in cloud web security with a cutting edge global infrastructure that scans billions
of web requests every day.

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced systems administrator to provide technical direction to the seven
engineers within the operations team who maintain our global infrastructure.

You will be the technical authority within the team ensuring standards are maintained by training and mentoring our
systems administrators, leading infrastructure improvement projects, automating repetitive tasks and driving tools and
knowledge down into our support teams.

You will also be expected to lead a programme of empowering engineers within the customer support team to resolve routine
issues themselves without requiring escalation into the core operations team.

Sometimes you may be involved in resolving complex problems for our high profile customers, but mainly this role is about
avoiding incidents by ensuring our servers and supporting systems are constantly improved and maintained to the highest
standards.

To be considered for this role you will need:

* At least five years Linux systems administration experience within a high availability environment such as e-commerce
or cloud computing
* Solid understanding of web services architecture and common technologies
* Hands-on experience with Puppet, Apache, Tomcat
* Experience working with monitoring tools such as Nagios, Cacti, ZenOSS
* Excellent knowledge of the http protocol
* Knowledge of supporting java applications would be highly beneficial
