An international P&I Club is seeking to recruit a solicitor with a background shipping law to join their European
Syndicate's claims handling team. The club is offering an excellent salary, as well as the opportunity to work on behalf
of many of the world's leading ship owners, tanker operators and charterers.
The ideal candidate will have post qualification experience of working for a top City/International law firm's shipping
practice, a P&I Club. The role will encompass all the major aspects of shipping/maritime law, including cargo claims,
charterparty disputes, ship arrests, and F D&D work. Due to the multijurisdictional nature of shipping law, you will be
required to liaise frequently with other syndicates located worldwide, with the opportunity to work abroad being offered
also.
All candidates should be qualified as a solicitor or lawyer in a foreign jurisdiction, and must have prior experience of
handling shipping claims.
