My client a global communications company are looking for a network design consultant. The successful applicant will assist in design, development, consultancy, integration and support at a high technical level on a range of major voice and data network solutions. For this they will be paying up to £450/day.


The role involves working closely with other teams - including the vendors and customers - to produce a fit-for-purpose multivendor solution providing complex end-to-end services that include the broader aspects of the capability such as network management and security. The applicant will be a highly motivated individual who wishes to expand their technical abilities.

The applicant will work as part of a small team within a much larger team and will be expected to travel within the UK (typically the West Country and approx one day a week).The applicant will be a UK national holding a UK driving licence.

Essential skills and experience:

A good understanding of Enterprise Voice Networking Protocols (QSig and DPNSS), TDM and IP PBX technology, SIP Trunking and SIP Lines (VoIP).

Proven experience in design and implementation of large Enterprise Voice networks

Excellent presentation and documentation skills

Be able to deal with both internal and external suppliers

Be able to work alone or as part of a team

SC clearance - candidate must have (or be willing and capable of successfully completing) SC security clearance
