Position: Purchasing Manager - Construction
Location: Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk

The Position
We have an opportunity for a proven construction buyer to manage our purchasing and supply chain processes. A highly commercial individual with a knowledge of industry materials, you will review and evaluate our processes to deliver cost reduction, develop a quality focused product library and deliver timely logistics and scheduling. A strong IT background is essential for review and development of all systems and processes

The Role
-Establish and maintain list of approved suppliers
-Negotiate supplier prices, discount structures, rebates and trading terms
-Prepare and manage all commercial agreements
-Prepare take offs for material purchases
-Check and compare supplier and sub contractor quotations
-Ensure materials are delivered in time and fit for purpose
-Assist in tender process.
-Review and development of all internal systems and procedures
