Purpose of your role

The role of Market Data Architect within Fidelity is support the delivery teams in the usage of market data within their
applications. Given the breadth of the businesses that Fidelity operates the market data requirements and points of
interaction are significant. Therefore this is an important role in the efficient and effective usage of market data
within the organisation.

The role of Market Data Architect will work with the IT Delivery and Infrastructures teams, the Operational Market Data
team and the Commercial team to support the development and operation of an effective and efficient market data
infrastructure including sourcing, distribution, entitlements and storage.

The role will give the successful candidate exposure to the majority of IT delivery teams within Fidelity with particular
focus on the Investment Management and Investment Services and Fund Accounting teams.

The role will report into the Head of Enterprise Architecture.

Your key accountabilities

* Define the reference architecture for the integration of market data sources into a Fidelity Data environment;

* Responsible for working closely with the Delivery teams to set out an adoption roadmap for this reference
architecture including both new application builds and Legacy application migrations;

* Provide guidance and oversight to Delivery teams on usage and integration with market data solutions;

* Responsible for working with the Operational Market data teams and the commercial teams to ensure that Fidelity is
making effective use of its investment in market data whilst operating within the contractual terms agreed with the
various market data vendors.

Your skills and experience

The successful candidate would be expected to have strong technical skills with a proven track record of implementation
of key system integration projects with particular knowledge of market data solutions and systems.

Essential skills

* Knowledge and understanding of asset management ( buy side ) industry gained working either at an Asset Manager, a
Financial Services Service provider or a software company;

* Experience in developing/implementing a Reference Data solution (including market data) within a global asset
management organisation;

* Experience of having worked as a solution architect/lead designer within Financial Services with a focus on reference
data applications, including the sourcing and distribution of referential data from market data vendors;

* Experience of having worked with a range of market data sources;

* Experience of having undertaken key system integration projects involving integration of market data solutions;

* Ability to translate business needs into solution architecture requirements;

* Ability to estimate the financial impact of solution architecture alternatives;

* Ability to apply multiple technical solutions to business problems;

* Ability to quickly comprehend the functions and capabilities of new technologies.

The Enterprise Architecture Team

The Enterprise Architecture team works as part of the FIL Technology department and is responsible for supporting the
Technology leadership team in the definition of the technology strategy to support the organisation. This includes
working with the Technology Delivery teams supporting the various business functions of Fidelity including:

Investment Management - covering research, portfolio management and trading;

Investment Services and Fund Accounting - Fund accounting, Pricing, Corporate actions and reference data;

Retail Customer Services - customer services and management functions including contact centre and web services to
support Retail customer investment decisions and tracking;

Defined Contribution - member record keeping, contribution management and member investment choice and plan performance.

Fidelity has embarked on a multi-year, cross asset programme to create a new technology platform to support the next
stage of evolution of our Investment Process. A key component of this is the introduction of the Charles River IMS system
to serve as a foundational component of the new strategic platform.
