Medical Editor 25-30k Oxford

A world leading marketing communications agency needs a conscientious Medical Editor
to w ork with Medical Writers and other staff to improve the accuracy, clarity, readability, and functionality of the
materials they produce, in accordance with the project brief.
o These include live projects, pitch presentation materials, RFPs, proposals, etc.
o Formats include Powerpoint slides, Word documents, Excel spreadsheets, and a variety of other materials.
* Work with Studio to transform textual content into visually appealing materials without loss of the above qualities.
o This typically involves the reading and correction of layouts and proofs.
* Ensure that all materials conform to client style rules, house style rules, or other agreed guidelines as appropriate.
* Assist in the development of realistic project schedules by estimating time requirements, highlighting risks to the
schedule connected with Editorial work, and suggesting mitigations where possible.


Skills and knowledge required
o Degree level or higher in a biomedical science
o Top quality scientific editing, with skills to adapt content and style to suit different audiences
o Excellent attention to detail, good grammar and syntax skills
o Ability to apply feedback received, to ensure highest standards of quality and scientific accuracy are consistently
achieved
o Strong project management and organisational skills, combined with some understanding of the commercial drivers of the
business
o 1 year's med ed agency experience advantageous, including strong evidence of teamwork
o Solid understanding of the process of drug development and the regulations that drive this in the US and EU desirable
o Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, ability to work in a high-pressure environment
