An excellent new job opportunity has arisen for a qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) Financial Auditor to join this major UK business. Role summary: responsible for performing internal finance audits across the business with specific focus on the application of current accounting standards, review of accounting judgements and assisting in preparing accounting papers. Duties and responsibilities: performing internal audits across specific contracts or businesses to ensure current IFRS is being applied correctly; review of all significant accounting judgements across the business (working with other stakeholders as necessary); supporting the Accounting Controls Manager in preparing accounting papers; supporting the Business Unit FDs and team on all technical matters; responsible for increasing knowledge and awareness of IFRS and balance sheet classification across the business; assisting the Head of Financial Processes & Controls and Head of Internal Audit with other audit activities as required. Qualifications and experience: qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA); understanding of finance systems (ERP based); excellent IFRS knowledge. The successful candidate will have superb interpersonal skills: the ability to liaise with senior management across the division is a key component to this role; a self-starter who is able to operate at a strategic level, whilst retaining an eye for detail, you will have a flexible approach to process improvements, setting clear objectives and the ability to influence change.
