Job Title: Solutions Architect (IT)

Salary: 400 to 500 per day

Introduction:
Our prestigious client has an immediate requirement for a Solutions Architect to join their busy team based in
Southampton, Hampshire.
Please note that this is a contract role of 3 months in duration. Candidates who have previously held a Solutions
Architect position and have current SC security clearance are encouraged to apply immediately.
Ultimately you will develop and document business requirements applying our client's technology standards in line with
their business needs.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include the following:
- Work within project delivery framework with assigned project managers
- Development and documentation of business requirements, architecture and design
- Assessment of existing software/hardware interfaces and augmentation to support future needs
- Providing facilitation, assistance, planning and technical support to ensure correct understanding of system
requirements/design
- Defining, documenting and analysing performance measures to ensure solutions are fit for purpose
- Identify and collate subject matter expertise in order to identify and document solutions
- Acting as technical lead within Solution Delivery project framework
- Bid support
- Technical design documents including infrastructure and interface designs related to specific business requirements
- Working with Enterprise Architect to identify need and create new standards as appropriate
Applicant Requirements:
Essential
- Experienced IT professional
- Previously held a position of Solutions Architect
- Wide experience of project based technology and solution delivery
- Technical qualifications e.g. MCSE, CCNA
- Wide exposure to technologies
- Demonstrable knowledge and experience of developing technical solutions for large scale complex projects
- A leader, able to work collaboratively with others in the department and across our client's group
- High capability of working on own initiative with self-management of work loads
- Able to work under pressure with the ability of taking ownership of projects
- Excellent Time Management Skills
- Comfortable working across a multi-disciplined environment
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Flexible, can do attitude
Desirable:
- Prince 2
- Infrastructure e.g. CICSO CCA or CCIE, MSCE, hardware
- Familiar with MoD IT security regulations such as JSP 440/460/480/ Tempest Standards
- Holder of current MoD SC security clearance
