The Role:

Are you a Horticulture Assessor looking for a job based in the Birmingham area and have assessed in the last 12 months?
This role will be home based and to cover a 50 mile radius area.

The role will be to deliver Level 2 and Level 3 Work-based Horticulture Apprenticeships;

* Instructing/training in a practical environment predominantly in employers premises.
* Assessing students and candidates using a variety of methods.
* Visiting students in a range of workplaces across a geographical region with flexible working hours and some overnight
stays.
* Establishing contacts and appropriate networking on work sites with relevant staff.
* Providing educational guidance and participating in marketing, recruitment and admission of students.
* Preparing learning materials.
* Working with employers to identify students.
* Completing all paperwork as required by contract.
* Contributing to the effectiveness of teams.
* Participating in personal professional development following appraisal of individual needs.
* Meeting agreed targets.
* Attend staff meetings as required.

The Individual:

* A1 Assessor Award.
* NVQ Level 2 in Horticulture.
* To have assessed in Horticulture within the last 12 month.
* Clean driving license (must have access to a vehicle and be willing to travel across the geographical area stipulated).
* IV qualification an advantage.
