Assistant Product Manager - Global Chemical Distributor

Great career opportunity! We're looking for a resourceful, numerical and analytical candidate to join us as a Trainee / Assistant Product Manager. The role holder will gain valuable experience in the field of commercial product portfolio management with strong performers working towards managing their own portfolio.

The opportunity:

An opportunity has arisen to join our successful commercial team based in the North West in either the Widnes or Manchester offices. Supporting one of the largest business portfolios, it is an opportunity to experience and learn the many aspects of the chemical distribution business, working with suppliers and the sales, technical and operational teams.

Within this role, the initial responsibilities will include data manipulation looking at market trends, reviewing sales information and providing price guidance ensuring agreed business targets are met. This will ideallylead to increased levels of responsibility and working towards managing a portfolio.

What are we looking for?

The successful candidate should have a strong academic background or equivalent experience and should be able to demonstrate strong commercial "business" awareness and enthusiasm for negotiation.

Ideally, you will be a strong communicator and enjoy working in a fast paced environment whilst being part of a supportive team. A background in the chemical or related industries is not essential but would be advantageous.
