Alexander Rose Recruitment are currently recruiting for a VRT Engineer for a client based near to Solihull
Management and coordination of the quality area for vehicle projects or regarding quality aspects, mainly series
projects, according to the customer requirements in order to assure that scheduling, cost and maturity objectives are met
in the product development as well as series production. This is done in cooperation with the respective series project
manager of development, sales, production, logistic, purchasing and in coordination with the main project manager and
executive management.
Ensure all VRT (Variation Reduction Team) activities and objectives are fulfilled, according DRX process chain and
customer driven processes (TGW, warranty, right first time by applying the appropriate product development tool kit e.g.
DFMEA, PFMEA, Six Sigma, APQP, SREA, Support plans, AIMS etc. etc.).
Responsible to convert and use the specific company Process Management and the customer requirements
*Able to continuously demonstrate an extensive knowledge and skill deployment of six sigma processes.
*Certified Black Belt who is able to train the trainer. To develop Green belts into Black belts. Develop Green Belt
project delivery through the Business Unit.
*Identify potential VRT reduction projects and drive quality, cost and timing objectives from concept into production +
90days.
*Maintain and improve supplier league table performance in alignment with the VRT Champion to assure all objectives
internal and external at the customer and supplier are met.
*Maintain robust, accurate and detailed weekly status centrally to ensure compliance with working procedure and data
access.
*Warranty - experience of warranty negotiation AWS/PAWS with customer. Able to present risks and opportunities to senior
management for concurrence and financial approval.
*Maintains the budget for the VRT project introductions in alignment with the series program manager and the senior
quality manager.
*Project work: Participate and lead sub projects and take care that all quality aspects are considered. Check the quality
offer correctness regarding quality aspects and costs in alignment with the senior quality manager.
*Coordinate product specific test and validation plans in alignment with the customer requirements. Coordination of part
specific series validation tests and definition of necessary measures.
*Quality evaluation of products during the series phase.
*Lead and participate gauge capabilities e.g. Gauge R&R
*Create and manage the creation of PPAP documents and present it to the customer.
*Transfer the quality tasks (e.g. measurement evaluation, inspection plan, control plans, complaint management) into the
CAQ system QSYS.

*Extensive traveling in Europe (mainly Germany, England, Poland and Romania) for European projects.
*MSc./BSc. Mech. Eng. Or equivalent with experience
*Several years experience in project/product management and/or quality improvement process. Lean manufacture.
*Leadership skills, able to learn and develop expediently.
*Quality Operating system knowledge.
*Statistical knowledge
*Interior trim knowledge for PD, Manufacturing, Supply chain and Quality
*Understand of design process.
*Teamwork skills and Knowledge in moderation
*EDP knowledge (Microsoft office etc.)
*German an advantage but not essential.
