Our Client
Our client is a market leader in the Rail Industry. They deliver quality engineering projects for the rail infrastructure market through innovation and introducing new technologies. Our client is a pioneer in delivering track renewals, signaling, electrification and power, telecommunications, professional services, training and integrated rail system solutions.

The key accountabilities of the Senior Signalling Technician (SIT) will be as follows:
Carry out SMTH testing as directed by the Signalling Team Leader.
Complete all documentation/paperwork as required within the required time scales.
Undertake other work as directed by the Signalling Team Leader, ensuring all work complies with current quality and Group/Line Standards.
Ensure all work is carried out in a safe and controlled manner. 5.Undertake COSS duties as required, together with other relevant safety duties.
Work on own as directed by Signalling Team Leader.
Use power tools and portable plant where certified to do so.

The key accountabilities of the Signalling Team leaders will be as follows:
Carry out SMTH testing to affected equipment as required.
Provide first line fault response within Track Renewals sites
Ensure safe systems of work are implemented.
Record results of testing.
Provide detailed inspections of sites both before and after the completion of core works.
Cat scanning of worksites.
Detail methodology of protecting signalling assets during core work activities.
Liaise on-site with other functions to ensure works are completed safely, to standard and on time.
Assist with the investigation of incidents and WSF's as directed.
Attend site meetings and pre-planning meetings as required.

The successful Signalling Team Leader will have:
Thorough knowledge of signalling installation and maintenance/faulting. Thorough knowledge of Rules and Regulations, HASAWA, SMTH and other appropriate regulations, including Group/Line standards.
Good knowledge of Pway renewals operations.
ONC in engineering desirable or equivalent level of signalling training.

Qualifications & Experience
Senior Signalling Technician
PTS, Lookout, COSS, and SMTH.
Excellent ability to use hand and powered tools.
Able to understand and carry out instructions.
Able to relay information concisely.
Able to work as member of a multifunctional team.
Able drive or willing to learn.
2 years' work experience or previous background working with either electrical or mechanical equipment.
Signalling Team Leader
Good interpersonal and leadership skills.
PTS, Lookout, ES, COSS and SMTH.
Good organisational skills.
Ability to work within multifunctional projects.
Able to drive or willing to learn
A minimum of 4 years' experience within the SÞfield, to attain ITO, less if attended a recognised SÞdevelopment scheme. Reliable and responsible attitude.
Able to act with professionalism, tact and diplomacy.
