required for a leading global bank based in London to join a team of expert Core Java Developers working through the full
lifecycle (Design, Coding, Build, Deploy) on development and integration of global retail banking applications. Working
closely with multiple business units and other technical teams, first class communication skills are critical to the
role.

Beyond the obvious focus on Core Java, additional technologies of particular interest include XML, J2EE, SQL (Oracle /
SQL Server), Struts, Hibernate, Chordiant, Web Services, CVS and Jenkins.

All candidates must be able to show evidence of:
* Commercial Java development (J2EE, XML, SQL, Struts / Hibernate)
* Excellent communication skills
* Strong university education (scientific / mathematical discipline)
The successful Java Developer will find their role split across three main areas of responsibility:
* Coding and development
* Build and deployment of complex web-based server-side applications (including source code control)
* Design and architecture; solutioning problems and building designs
