Trainee Recruitment Consultant for Search Firm - City based, very high OTE, fast career progression

As a Trainee Recruitment Consultant you will work alongside a Senior Consultant to help fill existing requirements. 90%
of our placements come through headhunting so the role requires an intelligent, pro-active Trainee Recruitment Consultant
to scour the market for the most talented individuals through any creative means they can think of! This is not a job
where results will come to you but where you have to go out & find them.
Please note, this Trainee Recruitment role is a phone based job so if you don't like to talk, can't hold intelligent
conversations & can't quickly digest large amounts of information - DO NOT APPLY! This is phone based position for a
Trainee Recruitment Consultant but it is not telesales. There is no list of people to call, no script, no mundane product
& no numbers game where you wait for a no to turn to a yes. This is a creative, interesting and challenging Trainee
Recruitment Consultant role where you will be talking to very senior individuals about the market and their position
within it so no two conversations will ever be the same. This is a role where the ability to listen and understand
exactly what candidates (and eventually clients) want and are capable of so you can match people with mandates
effectively. Being able to do this successfully can yield some exceptional rewards but this will only happen when you
have a genuine understanding of your market - quite tricky when your product is as unpredictable as a person!
In case you've missed it...this is a phone based job so the requirements are:

1) Getting on the phone
2) Creative networking (by getting on the phone)
3) Interviewing potential candidates (on the phone)
4) Identifying new business opportunities (on the phone)
5) Matching the perfect candidate to client requirements (this entire process requires...getting on the phone)

You will receive excellent and contuinual training which will not only allow you to take advantage of one of the best
commission structures in the City but will enable you to quickly climb the career ladder to become a fully fledged Senior
Consultant. Training consists of 1 to 1 supervision, mentoring & constant reviews but you will not be micro-managed, i.e.
mature individuals only please apply.
