The Expedia Worldwide Engineering Checkout team is looking for a talented, collaborative Sr Software Engineer in Test to
jump into our automated service testing world and fast paced development. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on one
of the most important aspects of our site that every booking customer interacts with as well as be a driver for our
automated testing strategy and influencing best practices across the larger EWE team. Work closely with our Checkout
development team to ensure we have an automation testing suite that rocks a continuous build. Promote a test-first
mindset amongst all the teams across all the disciplines - get tests integrated into the deployment. If you are a great

Responsibilities:

Find and investigate solutions to roadblocks in the automation testing
Develop Automation best practices and ensure they are met with in the team. Knowledge share working best practices with
larger organisation
Work across the development teams to promote testability within the services
Create Automation Metrics used to track our quality as well as to identify areas for improvement in either the code or
automation
Design Automation for Continuous Delivery targeting all regression executed in 24 hours or less
Contribute to a test driven development culture and set the bar in terms of quality expectations within the team
Design and build automated test frameworks for service testing
Be a representative for EWE at the company level for SOA Testing Best Practices
Research technologies and processes to drive improvements across the group

Qualifications:

Has exceptional skills in Test Automation & Design, particularly in SOA Test Design
Hands on experience with BDD and/or TDD and related frameworks such as Cucumber
Hands on experience with two or more of - JUnit, Java, C++, Ruby, also easyMock and other support mechanisms for services
testing
A proven track record of delivering large scale projects with measurable quality
Experience in working with off-shore QA teams.
Experience in Agile SDLC environments Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills
Extensive experience in Testing services and applications in a highly matrixed SOA Environment
Experience in shipping multiple versions of E-commerce products
Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Work Experience and Education Guidelines:

BS or MS, in Computer Science or a related engineering field
Significant experience in the field of Software Testing as a Technical Leader
