Our client are looking to appoint a Senior Process Engineer who will support the DSA team in the definition of work scope
and the subsequent delivery of a project. A background in chemical engineering is required. Some experience in the
handling of radioactive materials would be preferred but not essential.

You should be a chartered engineer in order to be considered for this role.

Overall Purpose of the Job :

* To provide process engineering excellence and expertise across projects, working to budgets and timescales and in
compliance to Management Procedures
* To provide technical leadership for specific projects as delegated by the Head of Process Engineering
* Undertake activities in addition to the Job Description as designated by the line management
* Meeting Objectives as designated

Job Profile:

Knowledge & Understanding

* Strong theoretical & practical knowledge; keeps up to date with new technologies and their application to RTS work
* Develops sound solutions without guidance
* Selects cost effective and timely solutions when assessing current technologies
* Leads idea selection and innovation within known boundaries

Practical Application

* Can lead a team of multi-discipline personnel, inputting wide experience
* Determines most appropriate solution when faced with conflicting information or not all the facts
* Overcomes difficult problems and setbacks focusing on priorities to meet goals with limited resources
* Sets targets, analyses performance against objectives and identifies areas for improvement & improvement plans

Leadership & Management

* Ensures cost-effective use of resources to achieve commercial objectives
* Analyses, monitors and controls expenditure to ensure team achieve financial targets
* Assesses and reacts quickly to customer needs and resolves their concerns
* Schedules own project/task & controls resources to meet budget and time
* Allows team members freedom to act on own tasks providing advice, support if required

Communications & Interpersonal Skills

* Builds good relationships with internal & external customers and avoids conflict situations if possible
* Facilitates open dialogue, creates frequent opportunities for open communications
* Identifies others objections & underlying needs then stresses the benefits which meet these
* Creates opportunities to broaden others experience & encourages self development

* C Eng, MIChemE (desirable)
