Job Purpose and Summary:
Operational product management/marketing of all aspects of the product life cycle for the defined product portfolio on an
EMEA and UK basis.
Life cycle management includes:-
- Customer and competitive intelligence into product development (via Product Planning team or Partner Organisations)
- Successful launch development on a European basis and execution on a UK level.
- Knowledge/training and support for field sales
- Management of machines in field / licences and discontinuation.
Responsibilities and Tasks:
Delivery of all Product marketing activities relating to the total product lifecycle including events e.g.
local/DRUPA/EXPO. Necessary customer visits expected.
To support the development, writing and proofing of all forms of marketing materials including proposition, product
guides/brochures, sales training packs (in conjunction with L&D), press releases, web content..
Responsible for delivery of the operational marketing goals, objectives & KPIs (qualitative /quantitative).
Active member of the integrated portfolio team; Provide regular sales and business updates to product sales marketing
management.
Propose European product pricing strategy with planning team, including maintenance of all UK pricing administration
tools. For LFP this includes central product administration.
Co-ordinate UK promotional price support / incentive plans and execute/monitor, where relevant liaising with third party
suppliers
Work with UK channels to agree detailed product budget proposals
Develop and maintain detailed information on Canon portfolio, competitive and market developments to support all
NSO's/channels
Effectively act as NSO/RSO/CUK field helpdesk/ownership (co-ordinator role primary contact)
Required Skills and Qualifications: Qualifications - a degree (Business/Marketing preferred), CIM Diploma
Experience
Demonstrate a solid track record in Product Marketing
Sales experience desirable
Good understanding of business value drivers
Knowledge of print/document management industries desired
