About the role:
This is a critical customer-facing role which embodies the M&S Money brand in-store and you will be expected to:
Deputise for the M&S Money Manager and support the day to day running of the in-store department as appropriate, ensuring that M&S Money standards are achieved and resource is effectively deployed to deliver the best possible customer experience
Identify development areas and coaching opportunities within the team to enable them to build customer relations, identifying solutions that satisfy their needs
Enhance the profile of M&S Money in-store and drive the success of M&S Money as a core business unit by building strong relationships with the M&S store management team, specifically at Section Manager and Commercial Manager level
Dotted line responsibility for the Bureau de Change team, including compliance and risk auditing and controls
Carry out on the job training for staff to ensure full product, systems and channel knowledge, resulting in a seamless, quality and value-add interaction with the customer
Work with the Manager to oversee operational requirements, ensuring audit and in-store controls are adhered to and are compliant with internal and FSA guidelines
About you:
You will be a natural leader with a proven track record in retail banking. Management experience with an understanding of operational procedures is key.
Detailed knowledge of banking products and services, and the regulations involved, is vital. To succeed in this role you will enjoy building relationships with customers and colleagues and be focused on exceptional standards with respect to customer care and service. Highly adaptable, you will be confident taking responsibility for decisions, with a drive and tenacity to get things done and achieve sales and service targets.
Management roles include regular evening and weekend working, in-line with retail operating hours.
