Category Manager - Retail
Based in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 + Benefits

The world's largest and foremost office products company are currently looking to recruit a high-calibre and commercially-minded Category Manager to join them at their UK Head Office in High Wycombe.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a resourceful retail professional with commercial experience in buying, marketing or retail operations to make a significant impact within one of the world's leading retail businesses.

As part of the Merchandising team and reporting to the Regional Category Manager, you would be responsible for the management and execution of divisional trading activity. You will be expected to carry out product marketing, promotional planning and execution, pricing, driving sales activity, performance analysis, competitor and market monitoring as well as stock management. Vendor management will also form a key part of your role, including managing the administrative process and investigating and resolving any vendor pricing queries.

The ideal candidate will be degree educated with significant experience in a fast-paced Category / Product Management environment. You will have a strong commercial awareness, and must be able to demonstrate a proven track record of improving sales and profitability. You will have a flexible and adaptable approach along with excellent communication and organisational skills. Strong PC skills will also be essential, including experience with multiple ERP systems.
