Job Title: SiteCore Architect
Designation: Sr. Architect - Technology

Summary of Department Focus:

Content Management and Portals Practice provide consulting and systems integration services in the areas of Portals,
Content Management, Collaboration, Social Media, Mobility and Enterprise Search. It holds partnership with the market
leading products in each of the areas and offers customer's services to consult, implement and maintain product based
solutions. Key sub-practices include SharePoint, WebSphere Portal, Documentum, FileNet, Vignette and Lotus Notes. The
group is around 2000 worldwide and is one of the fastest growing business within Cognizant

Summary of Job Purpose:

The job entails working as a seniorArchitect on one of Cognizant's key customers performing architecture and design for
multiple application development projects on SiteCore. Each project will have a dedicated development teams during the
duration of the project. The individual will be responsible for defining architecture and design guidelines, work on
design for each application/project and work closely with customer's architecture and infrastructure teams to ensure
alignment of design to architecture and infrastructure standards.

Key Responsibilities: % of time

- Responsible for performing architecture and design for various application development projects on SiteCore platform-
70%
- Responsible for defining architecture and design guidelines for design and development on SiteCore & .NET
technologies 15%
- Be involved in design reviews of SiteCore &.NET application design for various projects 15%
- Act as product expert/consultant to various customer and Cognizant design and development teams

Job Requirements
- Should have good experience in working with SiteCore platform in various solutions including Web Content Management,
Collaboration, Workflows, Search
- Should have excellent knowledge and experience in SiteCore & .NET design & development.
- Experience integrating SiteCore with one or more of the following platforms: Search, BPM, leading SSO and identify
management products
- Experienced in performance tuning
- Design/Development experience in Microsoft SQL Server 2005, Microsoft SQL Reporting Services 2005
- Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 or Microsoft Visual Studio 2008
- C#.NET

Knowledge:

- Candidate should have significant experience in architecture, hands on design and development roles in full life cycle
projects in SiteCore & WCM technologies
- This should include minimum 2 full life cycle implementations of SiteCore on a large scale for customers and being
involved in hands on design and development of applications on SiteCore & .NET technologies.
- Should have excellent communication skills and customer facing experience
- Should be capable of working with customer architecture team in defining SiteCore application architecture and design,
and lead technical discussions
- Liaise and work with a globally dispersed customer and development teams

Experience:

- Proven track record with SiteCore concepts and best practices
- Expertise in multi-site and multi-channel delivery, personalization/targeting, content aggregation & syndication
- Knowledge and hands on experience in Microsoft .NET (C#), including patterns and best practices
- Excellent communications and interpersonal skills
- Experience in mentoring junior/less experienced developers
- Experience in communicating with business users to educate around product capabilities and determine requirements

Qualifications:

A bachelors degree in engineering, computer science or equivalent. A master's degree in computer science is a good to
have but not a must. Sitecore Certified will be added advantage.
