Our client requires a part-qualified Commercial Analyst to join their Commercial team. By gaining market insights and interpreting trading data you will provide the commercial insight to allow the Sales teams to continue to manage and grow contracts within your sector. This is a true commercial role that allows you to have a direct impact on profitability. Tasks include: production and maintenance of KPIs that will allow you to judge the customer performance; periodic trading analysis highlighting key strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats; supporting the Sales team in new business tenders, reviews and re-tenders, understanding the needs of the customer and what we can do to win the business; producing customer trading packs that provide detailed analysis of results, with a regular requirement to present this back to the customers; alongside the Reporting & Rebate teams, ensure accurate and effective financial controls are in place; reviewing and analysing sector performance on a periodic basis and working with the Business Development Controllers & National Account Managers to take corrective action as required; the provision of detailed margin analysis; identifying potential areas for margin improvement & working directly with the Sales teams to ensure objectives are achieved. The successful applicant will be part-qualified (CIMA/ACCA) with excellent analytical experience and strong Excel skills.
