Job Description
Atos UK has a wide range of clients all over the UK in many industry sectors. We have a vacancy for a senior business
analyst within our Application Delivery & Integration business. The successful candidate would be expected to engage with
clients, lead teams of analysts and take overall control of the requirements management process on large projects.
Core Responsibilities
working within the business architecture;
taking responsibility, within a specific scope, for the analysis of the business, its processes, organisation, systems
and data
capture of the customer requests and their processing into detailed functional and non-functional requirements from which
specifications and designs can be developed;
working within corporate and project standards and seeing that they are applied and maintained
delivery of tasks to time, to budget and to the specified quality standards.
Job Requirements
Required
a background in business analysis and determining requirements on applications development projects;
a track record of developing application designs & specifications: functional and non-functional;
able to work effectively under broad direction and able to supervise the work of others;
ability to plan and manage tasks within an overall project context and take responsibility for work performed and
decisions taken;
ability to provide advice and guidance on specialist matters and to perform work which requires the application of a
significant range of fundamental principles in a variety of contexts;
can demonstrate that they take a structured and effective approach to own work;
a broad background of types of project and application;
experience from an end user/IT Services organisation;
excellent written and verbal communication skills;
good presenter and facilitator with an ability to guide customers & users.
Desirable
Datamodelling & management;
experience of working in an Agile environment;
ability to demonstrate a depth of industry sector, process or functional knowledge gained on past projects;
knowledge and experience of a mainstream technology solution such as: .Net, Java, Oracle, Middleware or business
intelligence;
knowledge and experience of modelling business and functional requirements using UML (eg. Use Cases and Class Diagrams)
preferably within an established/structured method such as RUP;
experience with a requirements management solution such as CaliberRM, Rational RequisitePRO, ClearCase or HP
Quality Centre;
experience of business cases, invitations to tender and formal statements of requirements;
eligible and prepared to undergo SC clearance.
