To participate and assist in the delivery of this Local Authorities day to day repair and maintenance services. This
includes operation of the day to day computerised repairs system and pre, progress and post inspection of repairs.
Supervising and directing contractors with repairs is also an important aspect of the work. Carry out inspections of
council properties to assess any necessary repairs, and raise the repair work orders using the computerised repairs
system. This will encompass day to day repairs, void works and any aids and adaptations to property for elderly or
disabled tenants. Ability to diagnose housing defects and identify remedies. Experience of contract administration,
managing contractors and ensuring budgetary and contractual compliance. Knowledge of Section 20 Procedures
Essential
Enhanced CRB Building maintenance/repairs
Knowledge of building maintenance issues including
Health and Safety Legislation, CDM and utility regulations.
Desirable
Hold or be studying for a recognized professional qualification relating to building, surveying
HND/B tech, IOB RICS or IOH.
Enhanced CRB - Must be with rep agency or at least pending.
