The Desktop Specialist is responsible for creating, testing, updating, and deploying desktop images in an enterprise
environment. This role is responsible for monitoring all image related processes to ensure reliability and accuracy. The
Desktop Specialist will also provide white-glove, concierge service for defined CLIENT Executives and their assistants.
This service includes but is not limited to support of executive meetings, home offices, and conference events by
managing all aspects of planning, setup, and facilitation of technical logistics.
Key Areas of Responsibility
Support, install, and maintain image Servers and related software.
Assist in evaluating and recommending emerging technologies
Administer aspects of the Imaging Network to include but not limited to: SCCM and Ghost.
Respond to and resolve support cases generated in CLIENT's support ticketing system (Remedy) in a timely basis and
follow-up on issues until confirmed resolution. Provide outstanding customer service to all stakeholders and maintain
open and collaborative communication.
Documentation of repetitive issues and known resolutions, expected to drive solutions that address the root-cause to
avoid future issues.
Maintain open communication to all stakeholders keeping them current on status.
Provide project status reports to Managers on a weekly basis.
Participate and contribute to architectural/design meetings.
Serve as the lead and main point of contact for the support team and for resolving difficult incidents.
On-site, off-site and telephone support for all defined Executive personnel.
Primary support contact for key on floor technology such as printers, laptops, desktop and mobile devices as their use
pertains to defined executives and their support staff.
Responsibilities
Carry a company issued blackberry and respond to critical business issues in a timely manner.
Work afterhours and on weekends as necessary for special installations, implementations, system maintenance and upgrades.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma
3 years IT Support experience
A+ and Net+ Certifications
Other Required Qualifications
Basic understanding of Software Packaging/Software Distribution
Microsoft SMS/SCCM: 3 - 5 Years' Experience
Experience with Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT)
MS SQL Reporting: Ability to write custom reports from MS SQL using SMS/SCCM schema.
Highly developed planning, problem solving, and analytical skills.
Knowledge of networking hardware, software, and imaging processes demonstrated by the ability to troubleshoot issues in a
LAN environment and customize advanced settings inside a Windows operating system.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to a
non-technical audience
History of balancing multiple priorities simultaneously with the ability to adapt to the changing needs of the business
while meeting deadlines.
Experienced in communications and audio-visual technology (Polycom and Cisco Video Conferencing, WebEx, LiveMeeting,
Skype)
Demonstrated ability to build and maintain collaborative working relationships.
Flexibility to work off hours and weekends.
Preferred Qualifications
