C#/C++ Software Developer

Main Duties and Responsibilities
Part of a team of software designers and developers working on a Real Time project in the transport industry. Responsible
for design, coding, testing and configuration.

Key Tasks
Designs, documents, codes, tests and corrects moderately complex systems from supplied specifications, using agreed
standards and tools.

Features of the job:
(Include locations - onsite/offsite, travel requirements, changes to working hours etc.)
The work will be carried out at Thales premises near Stockport.

Person Specification
Qualifications and Training:
(Graduate, post graduate, professional qualifications etc.)
Degree-qualified or equivalent experience in software development.

Work Experience, Skills and Knowledge:
(Likely background, professional experience and skills requirements - breakdown between essential & desirable)

Essential:
C# and C++
ASP.NET 3.5
Windows Server 2003 and 2008
PC skills to include Microsoft Word and Excel

Desirable:
SQL Server 2005 and 2008, XML/XSL/XSD

Front End web forms development, (session management, CSS, accessiblity, W3C compliance, etc.)

Experience of Web Services

Experience of Automated Test tools

Experience of requirements tracing from design through to development and test

Experience of working with Rail Timetable data

InetSoft Reports Package
