Web Developer - Twickenham - £30-40k

A leading international engineering consultancy has a vacancy for Web Developer based in their Twickenham office. The ideal candidate will have over 3 years' experience developing websites using ASP.Net and will have experience working with content management systems, ideally Umbraco. A salary range for £30-40k is on offer, as well as the chance to hone your skills with a well-known, highly successful organisation.

The role

Initially, you will be working with the supplier of the CMS and other stakeholders to migrate 30 or more of our subsidiary company websites from the existing CMS to the new Umbraco CMS. This will involve adding back-end and front-end functionality to Umbraco.
After the initial migration period, you will be involved with the future development and maintenance of the CMS:

Working with our web developer to plan and add functionality, create new sites, etc.
Assisting with day to day trouble shooting and technical support to CMS users
Helping to maintain technical documentation, and user guide/user training documentation
Looking after hosting/disaster recovery planning and testing
Managing the project's source code repository (SVN), and planning migration of new functionality from the staging/testing environment to the live server

Skills/experience:

ASP.NET C#
Working knowledge of Umbraco (or similar)
Microsoft SQL Server
MySQL
Front end technologies such as CSS / HTML / JavaScript (we use jQuery)
Razor/ CSHTML and XSLT scripting
Working with Umbraco components such as uSiteBuilder and uComponents
Experience of high availability web hosting
