Cisco CCNP Engineer Team Leader
My client an international provider of integrated ICT solutions, delivering secure, converged computing and communications infrastructure and services requires a Cisco NOC Team Leader to be responsible for a team of NOC engineers.
This position has responsibilities focused around the smooth running of our customer's network environments and that network availability is maintained at the highest level.
Responsibilities
* Mentoring and coaching Senior NOC Engineers
* Hold regular 121s and appraisals with direct reports
* Active involvement in the recruitment of all new technical engineers
* Set and ensure team KPI targets are achieved on a consistent basis
* Ensure customer transition pre requisites are delivered by Network Implementation
* Provide technical consultancy to all other areas of the business to ensure the integrity, performance and support of new opportunities that involve Server support.
* To fully understand the principals of enterprise UC, security and cloud technologies
* Maintain network availability for customers by performing routine maintenance, failover testing, implementing best practices etc
* Ensure monthly SLA metrics for all MSC customers are achieved.
* Work as part of the on-call rota and ensure resources are always available 24X7 and respond within SLA time frames to any calls from the MSC Tier 1 out of hours
* Regularly updating customers on progress of incidents, problems and changes
* Completing customer Change Requests, including impact and risk analysis
* Attend meetings and working parties to represent MSC where necessary
* Where required perform the 'Lead Engineer' role for some key customers
* Attend customer meetings to provide technical consultancy
* Providing input to customer facing Technical Incident Reports
* Proactive identification of fault trends
Requirements
CCNP level with strong routing and switching skills
Knowledge within VoIP, Security - ASA, Pix, Juniper.
Knowledge of Cisco Unified Communications products
Able to guide & instruct technical staff, challenging behaviour where necessary
Experience with a Managed Service Provider
Excellent communicator
Full driving licence
Location: Berkshire
Salary: £50,000 + On Call + Excellent Benefits
