A global insurance company is currently recruiting for qualified accountants with proven Audit experience gained within financial services, ideally in the Insurance sector. The Senior Auditor will audit business activities, review business change projects, ensuring significant risks are fully understood and that commercially appropriate controls are in operation to mitigate risks. Main responsibilities include: undertaking and delivering audit assignments and reviews of business change projects in accordance with the rolling Audit Plan and departmental standards as directed; delivering professional audits that enable Senior Management to reach informed decisions and to agree commercially viable actions to mitigate risks; maintaining GIA management information systems, enabling timely and accurate reporting to the Board, Audit Committee and Risk Committees; communicating effectively with operational management and promoting the function as a centre of advice and guidance on all control issues. The Senior Auditors operate autonomously majority of the time therefore excellent communication skills, ability to influence and strong business acumen are important pre-requisites. Where UK qualifications are specified we will take into account overseas equivalents.
