As the Financial Accounting Manager in this Central Manchester based office, you will have responsibility for development of improvements to financial processes and internal controls by liaising with finance staff, Business Managers and the Procurement team. You will also have the opportunity to work with key Business Managers on the implementation of new accounting software and systems. Working as a Deputy to the Financial Accountant, this opportunity can add an extra level of responsibility to your experience. This role entails taking ownership of all VAT related activities. As a Financial Accounting Manager you will have the following attributes: strong understanding of Financial Accounting and Internal Control principles; part-qualified in a professional qualification such as; ACCA, CIMA or ACA; prior exposure to process improvement/implementation; solid planning skills; communication skills; liaising with other business partners; ability to analyse, evaluate and identify trends in financial data; prior exposure to large business systems such as Oracle/SAP. Where specific UK qualifications are required we will take into account overseas equivalents. Salary & benefits: 28,000 - 35,000 per annum; study support; excellent benefits package.
