IT Security Solution Consultant (SC Cleared / SIEM / Vendor)

Salary from £45,000 - £65,000 (Depending on your experience and potential) You can expect a generous pay increase. In addition you will get Car Allowance of £7,200 per month + Benefits (£5,000 Cash) + 10% Bonus.

Enjoy a dynamic highly challenging vendor environment with above markets rates of pay designing implementing and configuring next generation SIEM solutions to Enterprise clients in Central Government through to Investment Banking.

Role will involve 60% Implementation, 20% Support and 20% Pre-Sales. In a year there is possibility to become a dedicated Pre-Sales engineer. Last year the top performing SE earned £180K for the year.

You will undergo specialist product and systems training on the vast product suite and will undergo constant mentoring, training and development on the technical and business technologist aspects to make you a first rate business technologist. The role involves a heavy focus on solutions design and implementation of their world class next generation SIEM2.0 Windows centric technology. You be involved in implementing this for customers, training them and getting fist hand experience in sales engineering in a pre-sales Proof of Concept capacity.

It is expected that you have a BSc. in a scientific discipline and have between 3-7 years commercial IT Security experience ideally with specialist hands on expertise in setting up and configuring Windows Server 2003 / 2008, TCP/IP, MS SQL Server 2005x, Active Directory related networks and associated peripheral network security appliances such as Intrusion Prevention / Detection and Cisco, Juniper firewalls and similar. Experience with Regular Expressions aka Regex beneficial.

The learning curve is immense and even for a seasoned expert you will still have a challenge with ongoing product and solution development.

You need to be located within an hour of Maidenhead and hold a valid SC Clearance cert. In addition due to the nature of the clients you MUST be a British National.
