The selected nurse will work as part of a multi disciplinary primary healthcare team delivering general medical services
and elements of occupational health to patients. Under the guidance of the Medical Officer, the Practice Nurse will be
responsible for the provision of clinical treatment, screening and advice to patients in accordance with NMC and client
guidelines and protocols. Development of programmes of care, ability to perform audits and conduct searches will also be
included in the post's duties.

The successful candidate will be required to work up to three shifts per week on a rota basis, working a minimum of 25
hours per week. The shift times are as follows:

Monday - Friday: ... (to include a 1 hour unpaid lunch break)

Essential:
-Must be registered with the NMC and hold a valid Personal Identification Number (PIN), and satisfactory previous
experience at Band 5.
-Hold a minimum of one year's post registration experience in Primary Health Care practice.
-Be experienced and competent in Immunisation, Venepuncture, Audiology.
-Be competent in history taking, clinical examination, keyboard/computer skills.

Desirable:
-Experience in relevant areas, e.g. Occupational Health nursing, clinical supervision, Supporting Learning and Assessment
in Practice (or equivalent), Travel Medicine, Cervical Cytology, Asthma Diploma, Chronic Disease management - diabetes
and asthma, etc.
-Previous experience of working with MOD.
-Competence in audiometry, smoking cessation, ear syringing and vaccination.
-Well Woman and family planning clinics.
