An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced contract Tooling Design Engineer to jat a rapidly expanding
technology company specializing in the Design and Manufacture of Next Generation Battery technology.
Our client is moving from R&D to pre-production and require a tooling design engineer who can take a project from
conception to execution, has the ability to solve problems and design solutions, produce BOMs, source materials and work
to budget and time constraints.
It is envisaged that the ideal candidate will have:
" Extensive tool making experience both in the design and manufacture of jigs, fixtures and special purpose tooling
" Technical initiative
" Specialist in vacuum / pneumatic systems, components and its application
" Extensive experience - industrial design
" Familiarity with industry standard CAD, Solidworks (2D and 3D)
" Able to cite examples of technical design achievements
" Ideally qualified to HNC/ HND in Mechanical and Production Engineering supported by full engineering apprenticeship
" Able to demonstrate a successful track record in an industrial design environment
" Experience of working with small assembly machines
