The company

My client is an internationally recognised leader in the design, manufacture and supply of standardised and bespoke
environmental wastewater solutions.

An opportunity has arisen for a Technical Manager to manage the Engineering department and be responsible for the
company's process, project, technical design and literature support across their product ranges.

Key Responsibilities:

- Managing the company's R & D, New Product development and process improvements
- To act as technical lead and senior project manager for the delivery of our solutions and internal projects
- Liasing and working with internal and external clients in achieving a technical solution
- Ensuring the successful delivery/installation of projects to time, quality and budget
- "Scanning the horizon" for new products, processes or technologies
- Managing a small team of qualified engineers

Essential Skills and Competencies Required:

- Degree educated in Chemical Engineering or in a IChemE Accredited Degree
- Process and Project Management experience
- Excellent management skills to lead and develop the team
- Commercial awareness
- Ability to build and maintain effective client relationship
- Good report writing and presentation skills
- Excellent verbal communication
- Good analytical problem-solving approach
- Ability to prioritise workload and complete to deadlines
- High degree of self-motivation, committed and adaptable
- MS Office

Desirable Skills:

- Experience in the wastewater / construction industries
- Chartered Engineer, or working towards chartered status
- Be competent with use of 2D and/or 3D cad
