Our client, an international leader in the design, Manufacture and supply of products in their field are looking for a proactive and dynamic General Operations Manager to work at their site near Thame. The role will involve providing leadership of logistics, materials, supply chain, planning and manufacturing functions. .
Working with the production, sales and customer services teams you will be required to maintain accurate quality and quantity control whilst ensuring on-time delivery of production schedules to meet their customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities & Tasks
* Establishing work schedules with Sales & Customer Services teams to meet planned work orders (production and installation)
* Planning, directing and coordinating the manufacturing of products in compliance with company goals and objectives using LEAN manufacturing techniques
* Managing timelines and work priorities allocating resources to meet the assigned goals
* Ensuring quality and safety standards are met at all times
* Analysing production costs and ensuring these are kept under control through the adoption of best practices
* Maintaining control on stock ordering and consumption in line with production requirements avoiding logistical delays
* Scheduling installation works ensuring job completion is within or better than planned time.
* Liaising with Group central functions (e.g. Finance, HR, IT) to comply with policies and protocols
* Resolving team performance and training issues
* Overall responsibility for site health and safety
* Overall responsibility for site security
