Production / NPD Manager

Medex Scientific based in Horsham is an established supplier of health and beauty products for the mail order and retail
markets. We are now looking for a Production/NPD Manager to join the existing team.

If you are an entrepreneurial, flexible and determined problems solver with a keen eye for detail this may be the role
for you. This person will relish the responsibility on offer. They will do that by learning quickly, taking ownership at
an early stage, being a strong team player and being totally committed to getting the job done. The work is challenging
and constantly changes according to new research and popular health trends. This is a new position and a unique
opportunity to make a significant contribution to fast moving company. The key determining attribute will be the ability
to problem solve.

Typical duties will include involvement in NPD from the outset, including ideas for products, sourcing materials, costing
products, negotiation, arranging and managing all stages of production via 3rdthird party contract manufacturers, stock
management (components and finished products) and ensuring tight deadlines are met.

The successful candidate must have a high standard of computer literacy, be proactive and able to work quickly and
accurately to deadline. They must also be able to work from their own initiative and be a problem solver, not a problem
reporter.

Previous experience of the health and beauty industry is a distinct advantage but not as essential as the ability to
effectively co-ordinate production and materials with a positive can - do approach.
