Embedded Software Test Engineer
Bedfordshire

Embedded Software Test Engineer: A well known Defence sector Engineering organisation is currently looking to recruit a Software Test Engineer at their site in Bedfordshire.

Embedded Software Test Engineer Key Responsibilities:
* Full range of activities within the software development lifecycle including input into the design process and quality plan, development of test strategies, software and scripts, configuring and performing manual and automated testing, assisting debugging and production of test documentation.
* Providing software test support to other teams as directed and supporting the software planning and monitoring process. The role would be carried out under the supervision of a software engineering manager.

Embedded Software Test Engineer Qualifications and Experience:
* Significant capabilities in embedded unit and system test
* Exposure to automated and manual test systems
* Good knowledge in developing test strategies
* Strong oral and written communication skills
* Practical knowledge of automated test tools, preferably LDRA or Parasofts toolset
* Experience creating automated test suites
* Experience of verification and validation approaches, preferably in an MoD environment
* Practical knowledge of C and Object Oriented Development

Desired Skills:
* Experience of completing test activities within a government customer environment
* IBM Doors and Rhapsody
* CAN bus or MILCAN
* Matlab generated code
* Implementing an IEC 61508 project to SIL2 or above
