Software Engineers with C/C++ skills will be involved in the following:
Development coordination & tracking.
Software component integration.
Bug / issue triage & resolution management.
Release management and overall software status reporting.
An excellent hands on background is essential in order to be fully conversant within the projects problem domain, and to recognise and deliver the best strategy for the roles responsibilities. Opportunities will also arise to contribute from this experience towards hands-on development and technical steer.
Evidence of practical achievements in the application of one or more of the following skill and knowledge sets -
Excellent knowledge of applying C in a multitasking embedded environment.
Employ a structured, disciplined approach to software implementation using sound design patterns and methodologies.
Linux development and POSIX standards.
Defect database tracking and maintenance.
Software architecture and design.
Solid understanding of Networking protocols and their implementation.
Technical Experience (Preferred)
Development & test of software for networking devices such as; Broadband routers, ADSL modems, Layer3 Switches, DSLAMs
Development & test of software for Wireless networking devices supporting 802.11b, 802.11g, 802.11n protocols.
Development & test of software implementing the following protocols. ADSL, ADSL2+, TR069, RFC2364(PPPoA), RFC2684(IPoE).
