Web Interface Developer - LAMP RJ-0535

£30,000 - £50,000 + Benefits Surrey

A degree qualified Software engineer is required to join an existing development team. You will have a good engineering degree with relevant development experience, covering the full life cycle of product development. Strong Linux Operating Systems knowledge is essential as is MySQL and PHP. Technologies include Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP, Javascript, JQuery, VMWare, Zend, ActiveMQ, SOAP, AJAX, Zenoss, CentOS however you would be expected to proactively seek out suitable technologies depending on the project requirements.

The role is primarily to create and maintain the web interfaces used by our customers to interact and manage their mobile devices all over the world. Sometimes this includes delivering bespoke data driven web solutions for our customers. This business is based on delivering reliable communications using cellular connectivity and managing this very large global network, therefore a good understanding of computer networking, communications and protocols is essential.

To be considered you will need to demonstrate the following skills:

Essential Requirements:
• A good degree in Engineering/Computer Science from a top university.
• Considerable Linux Operating Systems experience.
• Proven experience of Apache, MySQL and PHP.
• Proven experience of Javascript, JQuery and SOAP.
• Seek out relevant new technologies.
• Computer networking, communications and protocols.

Desirable Requirements:
• VMWare, Zend, ActiveMQ, AJAX, Zenoss, CentOS.
