Our client is a world leading organisation working closely with the MOD and other Defence clients. Their Air Division activities encompass the full lifecycle of product development ranging from the technical evaluation of new air platforms through to the support of existing in service fleets at mission and aircraft level. They are looking for proactive Structural Integrity and Airworthiness Consultants to join their Structural Integrity team to be ideally based in Farnborough but possibilities exist to work out of Warton or Conningsby

The Structural Integrity and Airworthiness Consultant will be expected to =
Provide authoritative structural airworthiness advice across a number of military and commercial aircraft.
Develop solutions to complex structural integrity problems and be able to assess those generated by other organisations.
Deal with demanding issues and exercise sound judgement sometimes under pressure whilst working closely with the customer to ensure that the highest standards in the provision of assured airworthiness advice is maintained
Lead and deliver multiple projects simultaneously.
Mentor and train junior colleagues.
Maintain currency in structural airworthiness assessment tools and techniques.

The successful Structural Integrity and Airworthiness Consultant will have the following skills, experience and knowledge -
Experience in most of the following technical disciplines - Structural Airworthiness Assurance and Regulations, Aircraft Certification and Release, Air Vehicle Design Philosophies, Loads and Structural Assessments
A Degree or Higher Degree in a related discipline
Chartered Engineer status or equivalent experience.
Experience of leading teams and mentoring staff.
The ability to think creatively and exercise sound independent judgement whilst maintaining a high level of technical and personal integrity.
Good influencing skills with the ability to sustain a rational argument and present recommendations to a wide range of people.
