Assistant Producer/Self Shooter
Media Wales is seeking a creative videographer to join our successful commercial video production team.
This full-time role involves production of video for
a wide range of corporate, PR, public sector and industrial clients. The work the team produces is high quality and often with very fast turnaround times so the candidate will need to be organised and quick thinking. A lot of the work will be event-based so there is often no scope for re-shoots.
This all round production role would suit a multi-skilled self-shooter. You would be responsible for dealing with commercial clients in a professional, responsible way, liaising with them to organise and plan shoots, deal with shooting on location, often working alone and to tight deadlines, seeing projects right through post production to final delivery, either on disc or online.
Essential skills include: familiarity with lightweight HD camera equipment, good location sound skills, and experience with post production software
packages such as Adobe Premiere/After Effects or Final Cut Pro as well as thorough working knowledge of digital video file formats, their uses and limitations.
More than just a technical role, good people skills will be essential as you may have to conduct interviews on location so empathy and a quick understanding of the client's needs are vital. With that in mind, the job may suit someone with video journalism training or experience.

Candidates should write or email Simon Farrington, Business Development Editor, by 5pm, Monday, August 13. Applications must include a covering letter, a current CV and a link to at least two examples of your work. simon.farrington @trinitymirror.com
