Responsibilities

Reporting to the General Manager you will lead and develop a team of electrical/mechanical Engineers to maximise efficiencies and safety through effective planned maintenance and repairs.

Design and improve maintenance strategies, procedures and methods in line with the philosophy of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM).

Working with the Production Managers you will ensure that production demands are met and contribute to year on year improvement of the site's KPI's.

The role will also contribute to the planning, organisation and installation of any new machinery, plant and equipment through close liaison with the Engineering Project Manager.


Qualifications/Experience

Educated to a minimum HNC in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or Apprentice trained and posses a management qualification

Previous experience of working towards KPI's including reducing costs, downtime, preventative maintenance, condition monitoring, calibration conformance and effective scheduling for maintenance procedures.

A proven track record of managing a maintenance function by whilst regularly improving departmental performance.

Previous experience of running a large maintenance operation or team is essential.

Strong people and communication skills are essential and you will have a proven track record of leading, motivating and developing a team to achieve results.

With knowledge of quality systems (such as ISO9001 and ISO14001) you will also have a strong health and safety focus.
