We have a small but growing client in the Loop two blocks from the train is seeking a strong .NET DEVELOPER to add to their group. This is a great opportunity to work with great technology and play a visible role here and the applications that you create here are used by everyone in the company!

Responsibilities:

* Develop software system design, programming & documentation based on business requirements

* Provide technical assistance and technical training to other departments

* Document & report status/progress of assigned tasks on a regular basis

* Responsible for ensuring adherence of all deliverables to appropriate standards & quality levels

* Maintain knowledge of best practices surrounding IT technology, processes & applications development/support

* Work effectively with other team members on multi-person projects, provide constructive evaluation of code & share knowledge/insight

* Communicate with business users & analysts to gather accurate requirements for new enhancements & applications

Qualifications:

* 5+ years of development experience required

* Experience working in smaller teams within a growing environment

* Proven ability to independently manage tasks and priorities, accurately estimate work, and meet deadlines

* Ability to work under minimal supervision in a fast paced team environment

* Strong problem solving skills, detail oriented, and self motivated

* Excellent verbal/written communication skills.

* Strong analytical and design skills

* Experience translating functional requirements into technical specifications

* Ability to escalate issues for resolution

Technical Requirements:

* Prior experience working within Microsoft C# .NET development environment

* Proven knowledge in n-tier web/Windows applications using ASP.NET 2.0 - 4.0, C#, ADO.NET, HTML, Ajax, Remoting, web services, & CSS

* Experience with Windows Services and IIS

* Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio (2008, 2010), SQL 2008 R2

* Experience using SQL Server database design & T-SQL, with ability to write stored procedures, user defined functions & SQL queries.
