We are a growing aerospace company looking to recruit a number of stress and certification engineers on a long term contract basis. The appointed Stress and Certification Engineer will take designs and perform various calculations on them to ensure they meet regulatory requirements.
The appointed Stress and Certification Engineer will need carry out the following key requirements for the role;

*The appointed Stress and Certification Engineer will ensure that company design is certified to EASA or FAA regulations and satisfies the contract specification.
*Produce the necessary reports to demonstrate that the design satisfies all relevant EASA or FAA regulations
*To undertake the checking and releasing of detail, sub-assembly, general assembly and installation drawings.
*Preparation of schemes and provision of technical support for test programmes. To analyse test results and report findings.
*Detailed stress analysis of metal and composite structures including the use of computational analysis i.e. FEMAP, NASTRAN
*To provide 'support to production' services including investigation to queries raised through Design Query Notes and Non-Conformity Reports, production permits and concessions.
*To support the business generally, utilising existing skills and capabilities when requested.

The selected Stress and Certification Engineer will need to meet the following key requirements for the position;
*Previous experience in design organisation involved in aerospace design.
*Familiar with current EASA and FAA regulations in particular CS-25 (25.561, 25.562, 25.783, 25.785, 25.787, 25.789, 25.791, 25.853, 25.855 and 25.869).
*Excellent reporting and communication skills
*Detailed hand calculations preferred.
*Familiarity with Nastran with FEMAP FEA desirable
*Effective oral and written communication skills
*Good team working skills & work ethic
