Our client who are a significant member of the Middle Eastern banking community have asked us to assist in the hire of a Head of Business Architecture/Analysis. The Head of Business Architecture/Analysis analyzes the activities of a particular business unit or line of business and makes recommendations pertaining to the projects that the business unit should perform, in addition to relevant and timely corrections to the governance structure, business processes, and the structure of business information. Purpose Build a bridge of understanding between the business and IT to enable great technology solutions to the most important business needs. Scope The head of Business Architecture/Analyst advocates for Business Customers to IT through clear and accurate elicitation and documentation of business vision, business ITD alignment, ITD capabilities mapping, and requirements. He will also represent IT to Business Customers by explaining technical solution possibilities and constraints. This position assists in ensuring business and ITD alignment and a smooth implementation of the new solution into the business environment. Responsibilities Advocate for the Business Customer to the IT Project Team. Clearly and concisely communicate the business customer's vision, including to the transformation to the to-be operating model.. Clearly and concisely communicate the business customer's objectives to the IT Project Team.. Accurately and completely document the business requirements so that they can be translated into a technical solution that meets the business objectives.. Document and fully communicate all open issues or open questions about business architecture, process or procedure so that the ITD/project team is aware at all times.. Fully understand business processes so that improvements and innovations can be identified and recommended as projects. Represent the IT Project Team to the Business Customer. Clearly communicate technical solutions and business ITD alignment thru capabilities mapping.. Clearly communicate technical solutions to the business customer.. Review documentation of requirements and change management with the business customer to ensure full understanding and where needed, acceptance.. Fully explain any technical issues or open questions to the business customer.. Advocate for the Business Analysis discipline by fully understanding the framework methodology, the BA deliverables and contributing to the continual improvement of the process.

Qualifications Experience.

10+ years Business Architect and Analysis or related experience. Project Management experience a plus.. Portfolio management experience a plus.. IBM Rational ReqstPro and Requirements composer is a plus. Skills. Expert level in Microsoft Office tools. Expert level in Microsoft Visio, especially Swim-lane business process diagrams. High level written and oral communication skills. Expert in synthesis of ideas to pictorial representation. Expert in elicitation techniques of business requirements. Expert in change management planning Education. Bachelors Degree preferred, business experience in lieu of education Certifications. CBAP, desired. Lean or Six Sigma, desired Specialties. BPM. Banking. Business Intelligence. TOGAF. IT Infrastructure In return the successful candidate will receive a very competitive package.
