Our client is a worldleader in the development of Modems, Set Top boxes and Gateway Equipment. For one of their projects they are looking for a Software Engineer Platform & Drivers
Job purpose
Software development on platforms (new chipsets) and drivers (new hardware interfaces)
Responsibilities
- Develop and debug Embedded SW/FW, mainly in C
- Develop/Port SW/FW to new Embedded platforms
- Bugfixing/Maintenance in your area
- Find software workarounds for hardware limitations

Skills/Qualifications
Education
Industrial Engineer or Masters degree in Electronics/ICT or equal by experience
Experience
- 3 years
Technical knowledge
- Embedded SW development (mainly Kernel space)
- C programming
- Debugging on target (JTAG, gdb)
- Linux Embedded development
- Linux Kernel knowledge
- Experience with RTOS is a pro
- Networking protocols (L2/L3)
- Basic hardware measurements (scope, multimeter, logic analyzer)
- SW version control (Clearcase)
- Multicore systems
