This company is a leading brand and has a worldwide presence. A vacancy has become available for a Financial Accountant at its corporate head office and the role would suit someone looking to make their move from Practice to industry. Key duties will include maintenance of the general ledger, reconciliation of control accounts and monitoring the fixed asset register including period end reporting. In addition you will deal with all third party returns such as corporation tax, VAT returns, PAYE/NI and will gain experience of controlling the companies cash flow and Capex procedures. A proactive person is required as you will also manage junior staff and undertake ad hoc projects. The role will involve preparation of management accounts, consolidation and analysis of accounts for subsidiary group companies including reconciliation of P&L and balance sheet. You will also be responsible for cash flow forecasting, analysis of performance against budget, investment appraisals and new product costing. . Ideally, you will come from a Practice background (post qualified experience from Practice) looking to make your move into industry and you will be ACA qualified.
