Support Engineer/ Electronics Support Engineer / Electronics Engineer/ Electrical Support Engineer required for a leading company in Gloucestershire.

Profile: Full Time Electronics Support Engineer

Location: Gloucestershire.

Education: Educated to degree or HND level in Engineering

Experience: Recent experience within a military/defence/aerospace industry would be beneficial, experience of the product development and support lifecycle would be advantageous

Reporting to the Engineering Support Manager the Support Engineer will be responsible for servicing internal and external support requests, developing product modification and upgrades in collaboration with the design team and where necessary supporting in-field activities and development projects.
The Electronics Support Engineer will pro-actively service requests from customers, developing upgrade and modification schemes for existing and legacy products, and contributing to obsolescence planning.

The Electronics Support Engineer will maintain, update and manage changes to product specifications, drawings and technical documentation, providing guidance and training to support technicians, manufacture engineering prototypes to support new product development, calibrating test equipment and designing, manufacturing and verifying any specialist test equipment to support the development of products.

The Electronics Support Engineer will have a 'can-do' attitude with a willingness to take ownership of tasks and see them to completion, a team player who can be relied upon to consistently produce high quality work, excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
